About Philips Hue
Philips Hue is the smart lighting brand of Signify, the company that was Philips Lighting before it was renamed, and it launched in 2012. Hue lights and accessories talk Zigbee and Bluetooth. Bulbs and the plug can be set up from the Hue app over Bluetooth, while Philips lists a Hue Bridge as required for the wall switch module and motion sensor, and for customising the dimmer and tap dial switches. Zigbee2MQTT, ZHA and deCONZ list several of them, so a Zigbee coordinator can pair them without the bridge.
