About

A battery-powered Zigbee switch with a turn dial for dimming and four buttons, each of which can control up to three rooms or a zone. It runs on a CR2032 coin cell and works loose, on a magnetic surface or on a wall plate.

Before you buy

Owners say the dial cannot adjust brightness after you press a scene button, so they set up scenes of different brightness and cycle through them. Home Assistant users confirm it works with ZHA and Zigbee2MQTT with several actions per button, though one finds fast dial turns are not all registered.

Critic review

The reviewer calls it an excellent switch for advanced Hue setups, with a satisfying dial that dims quickly and four buttons that can each target a room or zone. Setup is easy and it mounts by 3M strip or magnet. The dial can control only one room or zone, and price is the main complaint, at more than double the Dimmer Switch V2. He rates it 90%.

Pairing

  • In the Hue app go to Settings, then Devices, and tap the + button. When asked, press and hold the first button (the one with a tactile dot) for three seconds until the indicator blinks orange. To reset, hold the setup button for more than 10 seconds, then add it again.

About 2 minutes. Put the device into pairing mode first, then add it to your hub.
