About
A battery-powered Zigbee remote with an on/off button, two dimming buttons and a Hue button that cycles scenes, running on a CR2032 coin cell. It mounts on a wall plate or sits on a magnetic surface. Philips says a Hue Bridge is needed to customise it.
Before you buy
Owners miss a separate off button: the top button toggles instead, which some find less intuitive than the V1. Others say the V2 is better built but easy to knock off its mount, and one reports it dozes so a press can take two or three tries to register.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Hue Dimmer Switch V2 and V1?
The V2 has one on/off button, two dimming buttons and a Hue button, and runs on a CR2032. Philips notes the older version had separate on and off buttons and used a CR2450.
Does the Hue Dimmer Switch V2 work without a Hue Bridge?
For basic use, yes: Philips says you can connect it to up to 10 lights without a bridge. Changing how it controls your lights needs a Hue Bridge, which also raises the limit to 50 lights.
Does it work with Home Assistant?
Zigbee2MQTT, ZHA and deCONZ all list it. Zigbee2MQTT exposes its battery level and button actions.
What battery does the Hue Dimmer Switch V2 use?
A CR2032 coin cell, included. The Hue app shows the expected battery life.
How do I reset the Hue Dimmer Switch V2?
Open its edit screen in the Hue app and tap Reset. If problems continue, delete it in the app, press the setup button or pinhole for more than 10 seconds, then add it again.
