About

An 800 lm colour and tunable white bulb on an E27 screw cap, 9 W and dimmable from 1% to 100%. It uses 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth with the Govee Home app, can be added to a Matter ecosystem, and offers 54 preset scenes and music sync. The Amazon UK listing sells two bulbs.

Before you buy

Owners report the H6008 comes back on at full brightness after a power cut and has no setting to change that. Several also had trouble adding Govee bulbs to Apple Home over Matter; one skipped the Govee app and added them straight from Home with Add Accessory, while others pointed to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi limits and called Govee's Matter support poor.

FAQ

Does the Govee H6008 work with Apple Home?

Yes, over Matter: the Matter certification ledger lists the H6008. Owners report mixed results adding it through the Govee app, and one added bulbs directly in Home with Add Accessory.

Can I control it with Bluetooth only?

Yes. An H6008 owner says you can skip the Wi-Fi setup and use Bluetooth. Remote control through the Govee app or Alexa needs the Wi-Fi connection.

Does it remember its state after a power cut?

No. Owners say the H6008 turns on after an outage, and one reply says the bulb has no option to change that.

Does it need 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi?

Yes. The Amazon listing asks for a stable 2.4 GHz connection, and an owner suggests turning off the 5 GHz radio if both bands share one network name.
